Delete your Bobao account

Applies to Bobao and getbobao.com.

Option 1 — delete it yourself, in the app

1. Open Bobao and sign in.
2. Go to You → Settings → Delete account.
3. Read what goes and what stays, then confirm.

We hold everything for 14 days, until 23:59 on the date the app shows you, in case you change your mind. To keep your account, sign in before then and tap Keep my account; signing in on its own does not stop the deletion. After that it is gone for good.

Option 2 — ask us to delete it

If you can't reach the app — lost your phone, can't sign in — email us and a person will do it for you.

• Subject: Account deletion request
• Send from the email address on the account — that's how we confirm it's yours. We won't delete an account on a request we can't verify, because doing so would let anyone delete anyone else's.

A person handles it, and we reply to tell you when it is done.

What goes

• Your cards, your stamps as yours, your points and your level.
• The companions you met, and your saved settings.
• Your email address and how you sign in.
• Your answers to the two optional questions, and your Do Not Sell or Share choice.

What stays, and why

• Reviews you posted stay up, shown as written by a former member.
• The stamps shops already recorded stay on their side — those are their records of their own business, not yours.
• A dated record of the consent and privacy choices you made, with your account number and no name or email — it is how we show we did what you asked.
• Usage counts, if you turned them on. They were recorded with no link to you at all, so there is no way to find yours, and they are deleted after ninety days anyway.
• Payment records for a Supporter subscription, which Stripe keeps as long as tax and accounting law requires.
